Kill The Silence Release New Single 'All We Are'

Kill The Silence are Jason Walsh, Sam Rickerby, Ian Souch, and John David Wallis.

The early concept of Kill The Silence came together in late 2012 when songwriters Jason Walsh and Sam Rickerby met at Leeds College of Music.

The two released the self-titled EP in 2015, taking influence from late 00s Post-Hardcore and Metalcore bands such as Lower Than Atlantis, Bring Me The Horizon, Gallows, and Deaf Havana. The band achieved local success, selling out headline shows and festivals along with supporting globally-touring bands such as We Came As Romans and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

After a brief hiatus, Kill The Silence stepped up their game in 2018. Joined by Ian and John on bass and drums, the band joined Rock Seen Management to release their comeback single, “You Should Know”.

The single was well received, followed by a successful UK tour with Ashestoangels. The band brought 2018 to a close with the release of “Memories” which rocketed to become their most successful release to date, receiving airtime on BBC Introducing and other international stations.

Kill The Silence began 2019 supporting the likes of Shvpes & The Virginmarys and are soon to announce a UK tour in May which will include a hometown EP release show at The Key Club in Leeds on 17th May in support of the bands upcoming release: ‘Bloodlines'.

On the song, the band say:

"All We Are is the third single from our forthcoming EP, featuring Mikey Lord from As Sirens Fall. It's a feel-good song about grabbing motivation and making the most out of yourself. The song has a big chorus hook & guitar riffs, drawing influences from bands such as Don Broco and Bring Me The Horizon.
For this track we wanted to do something different than our previous two singles, we wanted to put out something more upbeat, a tune people could really bop to. We had this song called 'High In Life' we wrote ages ago that was already quite happy and upbeat but we had to put quite a bit of work to bring it forward to 2019. We're so happy with what we ended up with when we were finished, theres still hints of the original tune in there for anyone who remembers it but it lives and breathes as a completely new exciting track for us".
