KOWL & Anjulie Release 'Just Words' Remixes

Casablanca Sunset is pleased to release the remixes of "Just Words" by KOWL & Anjulie.

The 3-song EP features renditions by nu-disco pioneer Lifelike, UK-producer Mona Vale, and up-and-coming EDES. All 3 artists reexamine the lush and tasteful original by KOWL & Anjulie.

Released last year, “Just Words” received support from blogs like EARMILK, Acid Stag and Pop On And On. Described as an electro-pop summer chill out, the original track features swelling synths, finger plucked harmonic guitar and seductive vocals. The song was featured as one of Sony ATV’s top songs of June 2017, praised by the Guild of Music Supervisor president, and also selected to be featured in H&M clothing outlets within the US.

Rounding out the remix package, French-producer, Lifelike adds his signature synth heavy French House sound along with a hint of cowbell. The Daft Punk-approved talent masterfully layers his smooth melodic synth atop a strong bass line and tightly produced percussion. Lifelike is gearing up to release a new album later this year featuring collaborations with artists like Chromeo, A-Trak, Oliver, and more. A legend in his own right, there are big things to come from this talented producer. Help fund his upcoming album here!

The 3-song EP also features remixes by Mona Vale and EDES. London-based Mona Vale delivers a tonally bright and melodically introspective synth-heavy remix. It features pitched vocals, up-beat drums and super saturated harmonies. And then last but not least, EDES cuts an indie-electro beat featuring a playful vocal chop, groovy rhythm and disco-influenced strings in the chorus. He's an up-and-coming producer with visibly raw talent.
