Jointpop's New Single 'Amplify' Is Out Now

Produced by Paul Kimble of Grant Lee Buffalo, the band are led by Gary Hector. JOINTPOP are the most influential band to come out of TnT/ The Caribbean (not playing the local flava, calypso, soca, reggae) and have an international following, having toured the UK four times. The band have also racked up festival appearances at Belladrum Festival, Mugstock Festival and XPONORTH. Iconic UK venues the band have also ticked off include The 100 Club, Dublin Castle, Hope'n'Anchor. The band have also played legendary venues CBGB's and The Mercury Lounge in the US.

The band also have radio support from Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) and Jim Gellatly (ex XFM Scotland/ Amazing Radio). Influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who. The Velvet Underground, David Bowie, T REX and The Clash. Those influenced are blending into a polished eclectic eleven track album showing the bands diverse background and delivered but supreme musicianship.

“They sound like The Clash being molested by The Beatles while smoking with Bob Marley “(The Guardian)

“From The Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago, here comes JOINTPOP,with their 'tough n ready' renegade rock n roll sound “ Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M, Big Star )

** 35 years after ‘London Calling‘ the road has led to Trinidad and Tobago ,which is not surprising given the Caribbean influence that The Clash absorbed from so many Island ex-pat musical émigrés in the mid-70s UK. The genesis of the band has come full circle in the guise of Trinidad and Tobago’s JOINTPOP .** ( Jaimie Vernon, Canada.)
